The main purpose of this site is to inform the users of the website of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2018 with the terms of use of its content.

This is the official website of the Bulgarian Presidency developed as per Article 58a of the EGA and following the guidelines of the General Secretariat of the EU Council.


The contents of this website and the mobile application of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU are compliant with the provisions of the acting Bulgarian law. Please notify us as soon as possible in case you notice inconsistent, obsolete, untrue or illicit content.

The Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2018 shall not be held liable for the legality, completeness, truthfulness and actuality of the content of third party information resources which this site may refer to by means of links; nor for the legality of the operations of these third parties. In case you notice links to information resources of obsolete, untrue or incomplete content, or to information resources whose content contradicts the active law, please notify us as soon as possible.

Third party tools and services bear high risk for correctness and confidentiality and are listed on a separate page to assist the user in explaining who has access to their data, why and to what extent.

The website of the Bulgarian Presidency is using cookies mainly to identify users and their preferences, as well as help them surf without having to enter information over and over again when changing the pages or when they visit the website again later.


The software for operation of this website as well as its design are subject of   copyrights.  

The content of the website of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU may be used freely unless explicitly stated that it is protected by the acting Copy and Neighboring Rights Act. Hence the use of text, photos, video and other visual elements published on the website is public domain and requires only mentioning the source.


Mobile apps can collect certain information automatically. Such data is: mobile device type, OS version, unique device ID number, data network information, internet browser type, information about the way the app is used.

When using mobile apps information about your location, which helps personalizing your use, is also collected. Different technologies, such as your IP address, GPS and other sensors are used to determine your location. The current terms of use guarantee that we will not disclose your current location to third parties. If you do not want us to use your location, you must turn off the location services for the app, which you can do in your profile settings or in your device settings and/or the app.

If you wish to ban access to your personal data, you are entitled to stop using the app. This can be done if you uninstall the app via the standard uninstall option on your phone or if you uninstall it through Google Play Store or Apple App Store.


These Terms of Use of the website of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union shall not be subject to amendments and updating.  Please be advised that you should review them, from time to time, in order to stay informed about the protection of your data we have collected. If you continue to use the mobile application of the Bulgarian Presidency, you express your agreement with these privacy provisions and all updates thereof.

When you use the mobile app, you agree that we process your personal data in the way stated in these privacy provisions.
