An informal meeting of the Directors of the National Agencies of the Erasmus+: Education and Training Programme will be held at Hotel “Marinela” in Sofia on 12-13 April 2018. The event is part of the official Calendar of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. It will be hosted by the Human Resources Development Centre in its capacity of National Agency for Erasmus+ for Bulgaria.
The meeting will be opened on 12 April 2018 at 9.30h by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science Denitsa Sacheva. Monica Panayotova, Deputy Minister of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of EU, and Barbara Nolan, Head of Unit in the General Directorate for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture of the European Commission, who is in charge of the Erasmus+: Education and Training Programme, will address the participants.
The meeting will provide opportunities for discussions on the future prospects of the Erasmus+ Programme beyond 2020. The main topics that will be subject to discussions and also of crucial importance for determining the future format of the Programme will be social inclusion, digitalisation in the field of education and training, the international dimension of the higher education and vocational education and training sectors, shared European values, and enhanced possibilities for a growing number of European citizens to participate in the programme.
